It all adds up for Globe-trotter Stephanie with top marks in respected accounting programme

Stephanie Cook has enhanced her career by obtaining one of the top marks in Ireland in the Accounting Technicians Ireland Diploma and is now deploying the transferrable skills of the qualification in Australia.

“I am considering using my exam exemption gained from my ATI Diploma to progress to fully qualified accountancy. But I have an excellent, internationally recognised qualification thanks to the ATI Diploma. I would recommend it as it is an excellent qualification on its own, but the ATI Diploma also works well as an introduction to further study.

Everything you study is something you could come across in your day to day working environment, rather than just being taught to pass an exam. The Diploma has helped me hugely as it gave me a deeper understanding of the work I was doing and allowed me develop skills and progress within the company.”

The Accounting Technicians Ireland (ATI) Diploma has allowed Globe-trotter Stephanie Cook (33), to work in a more advanced accounting role for a civil engineering company.

The highly regarded professional Diploma can be obtained in as little as two years. Study can be full-time, part-time, and online.

A native of the Isle of Wight, Stephanie held a 2:1 language degree and had a background in working in the school activities business when she came to Dublin in 2017.

“I loved it. The flexibility was great. I usually attended live lectures, but if I could not, I could catch up at any time convenient to me. Being able to rewatch parts of lectures was great for clarity and lecturers were easily contactable to answer my questions. It requires work, but it is well worth it. If you are already working in an accounting environment you have an advantage, however, the ATI Diploma is structured so that it is not necessary to have any prior knowledge of accounting.”
